David Astor

David has recently retired as Chief Investment Officer of Hiscox, the international Insurance Company, where he worked for 16 years. His 36-year career in the financial services industry began in investment banking at Kleinwort Benson. In 1993 he joined Fox-Pitt, Kelton where he managed a range of award winning equity funds specialising in the financial sector. This business was sold to Hiscox in 2002. In his role at Hiscox he oversaw the management of Hiscox Group assets totalling £4.5bn and was responsible for asset allocation and fund manager selection.

Following his retirement, he continues to serve as a Director of the Hiscox Pension scheme and chairs its Investment Committee. He is also a Non-Executive Director of funds managed by Man Fund Management (UK) Ltd, Polar Capital and Egerton Capital. He is Chairman of Independence at Home – a charity focused on maintaining independent living for the long-term sick and disabled.

Mark Knight

Mark Knight has over twenty-five years’ experience in managing PR and communication programmes for major UK and international companies. A former army officer, his PR career began with NATO’s Rapid Deployment Force. On leaving the armed services he worked for the in-house PR team at Thorn EMI before taking on the role of Head of PR at the Financial Times. He is currently a Director at Four Communications, a top-12 integrated communications agency in the UK, and his client experience includes a range of corporate and financial briefs for clients across a wide range of sectors including investment and wealth management, banks and investment consultants.

Camilla Ritchie

Camilla is a Senior Fund Manager at Seven Investment Management with responsibility for the Sustainable Balance fund which she has run since inception in February 2007. As a member of the Portfolio Management Team she has responsibility for Emerging Markets Equity and Property and Infrastructure fund selection. She is also responsible for Proxy Voting and Stewardship at Seven Investment Management. Outside Seven Investment Management she is an Advisory Board Member of the Sarasin Charitable Funds. 

Matt Webber

Matthew is a Senior Investment Manager within the Aberdeen Standard Investments Multi-Manager Strategies Team. His primary responsibility is the management of a range of, multi-asset, Fund of Fund Portfolios. Additionally, he is responsible for developing the teams overseas capabilities as part of the firms’ Investment Solutions strategy, and holds research responsibilities across a number of asset classes.

Matthew previously worked as a Fund of Fund Manager for Co-operative Asset Management and before that at Old Broad Street Research (now Morningstar).

​

Matthew holds a BA Hons in Financial Services and is a Chartered Member of the Securities and Investment Institute.
